The Principle
Using the principle of sound emission and reflection of the ultrasonic sensor, the sensor is installed at the highest point of the device for vertical downward detection. When the person stands on the height and weight scale, ultrasonic sensor starts to detect the top of tested person's head, the straight-line distance from the top of test person's head to the sensor will be obtained after detection. The height value of the tested person is obtained by subtracting the distance measured by the sensor from the total height of the fixed device.

Measuring Range
The sensor can detect object at a distance of 8 meters, but due to the different reflection degrees of each measured object and the surface is not all flat, the measurement distance and accuracy of the H01 will be different for different measured objects. The following table is the measurement distance and accuracy of some typical measured objects, for reference only.

Serial communication
The UART/RS485 output of the product can be connected to computer through USB to TTL/RS485 cable, data can be read by using the DYP serial port tool which setting as shown in the figure:
Select corresponding port, select 9600 of baud rate, select the DYP protocol for the communication protocol, and then open the serial port.
Installation
Single sensor installation: The sensor probe surface is parallel to the structural surface (applied to height measuring instruments)
Sensors are installed side by side: 3pcs sensors are installed in a triangular distribution with a center distance of 15cm (applied to the health house)
Improper installation: Probe position inside recessed structure/A closed structure is formed outside the probe (affecting signal transmission)
